A Brand New Year

It's New Year's Eve with friends
Uncork a jug of wine
It time to make amends
To hug and kiss in time
The laughter sparkles bright
It spreads all through the night
We sing to music fine
Let's do it one more time

Should old acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind
I know your face your warm embrace
And our lives are intertwined

For kindness we will drink a cup
For the sake of gone by times
For goodness sake we'll drink a cup
For the sake of gone by times

The ball is dropping fast
The crowd is cheering wild
Confetti's in the air
The weather is so wild
The snow is blowing cold
I grab you close to me
I do something so bold
A kiss so warm and free
There's singing in the air
I truly am beguiled

Should old acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind
I know your face your warm embrace
And our lives are intertwined

The snow is blowing cold
I grab you close to me
I do something so bold
A kiss so warm and free

There's singing in the air
You looked at me and smiled
I kissed you one more time
I truly am beguiled

It's New Year's Eve with friends
Our loved ones we hold dear
We've pledged our vows
That love allows
We truly are sincere

Should old acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind
I know your face your warm embrace
And our lives are intertwined

For kindness we will drink a cup
For the sake of the new year
We'll drink a cup of kindness now
To ring in our brand new year
