Tangibly closer
To physical earth
More concerned with bodily things
The longer I'm here
The more it is clear
That aging's an honor that stings

Now my thoughts wander
Into the beyond
In suspense of the so-called hereafter
I've been here so long
I know I am strong
I've become somewhat a master

I think of the past
And my childish mind
Dealt in fanciful imagination
The physical world
In which my thoughts swirled
Became my own explanation

We live in the moment
With thoughts down the road
Linked with feelings all stuck in the past
Don't seem to notice
The lessons that show us
The answers to questions we've asked

In youth our days' lost
In the past and the future
Not knowing our life's in the now
Our thoughts are a current
With karmic convergence
That only our spirit allows
